Driving Trip Around Europe

I'm looking at doing a bit of a tour around Europe in my car in September, taking about 8 or 9 days.
I plan to start in Rotterdam and go clockwise around Germany and then pass through Czech Rep, Austria, Northern Italy, Switzerland and finish in Belgium at Zebrugge.
You guys have any tips or info on driving in those countries? eg I've heard you have to carry a breathalyser in France, that's why I've fucked that off.

Its not duty free. Its the fucking EU you spazz.
However. I have found that beer in Belgium is very very cheap so I would stop there and bring back loads of Belgian beer.

Don't forget to stock up on the duty free fags and booze from the French warehouses!

Fly over to your start point renting with one of the bigger hire car companies give it back to them at end of trip would be my advice and try and include Luxembourg great little place good food Beer cheap as chips

you will also require a windscreen sticker in Austria for motorways- called a Vignette. € 8.90 valid for 10 days.
you'll have a nice collection by the end of your jaunt

The Breathalysers are a tenner for 2 and can be purchased at the port.
Put your car on the train at Folkestone, 35 mins later your in France
45 mins later and 1 road your in Belgium. You go past Dunkirk which is worth a stop if you into that sort of thing

think you can buy a kit to be driving legal in France - yellow jacket, triangle etc. Take car reg document (or a copy) too just in case.
Most folks I met in France were saying good on you for Brexit - they hated the EU bollox expect ticker tape parade and offers to sleep with their sisters (or mothers)

Just drive down through eastern France then concentrate on the top half of Italy. Getting there and back is four days so give yourself a bit of time to relax. Unless you're mental and really do want to drive 300 miles every day for 8/9 days.

Might be an idea to get a dash cam rigged up, monkey wrench under the seat well (just in case)and some non GB plates, don't want to stand out and rub our European friends noses in it, post Brexit.

As anyone under 25 will tell you, you won't be allowed to go to Europe after that.

Thanks for the input YOU GUYS
I've been looking into it a bit more the last few days and driving to Italy and touring there does sound better now, I could even take in the San Marino MotoGP if I do that.
I'd really prefer to take my car, it's a 335i manual (with indicators), best car I've had and should be good fun.
Good point about the headlight converters though, don't want to be dazzling the polizia.

If you drive from Austria to other countries I recommend going over the mountains rather then through the massive tunnels, if you actually want to see scenery.
In Czech you will require a driving pass (it's called a vignette) you can buy them at petrol stations.
Don't forget headlight converters if you do take a UK car.

Drive straight to Italy. Skip the rest.
Spend the whole time driving around Tuscany.
Then come home.

I love driving through the back roads in Europe. Anywhere is great. Just take time and stop a lot and take a look around.
